Synchronization with Pocket Outlook

The Task Sync Feature keeps your Tasks in Pocket Mindmap up to date with Pocket Outlook. You can check your Tasks in Outlook or in Pocket Mindmap - they are automatically kept in sync! And Tasks have all the properties needed: priority, start date, due date, private flag, Resources and Categories. Pocket Mindmap even uses the same categories that are stored in your Pocket Outlook!

To make the synchronization reliable, Pocket Mindmap keeps an ID of the Outlook Task and additionally writes the Topic identifier in the notes portion of the Outlook Task.

This identifier looks like this:

--
[PMAP:{ID}/#{ID}]
Filename.pmap: Path -> to -> Topic

Pocket Mindmap gets notified if you have changed a Task within Pocket Outlook (or any other program that uses the Outlook databases), so every change will be transferred to the linked Topic.

Note: When synchronizing, not only the Outlook ID is checked but also the Topic identifier has to be valid. If this Topic identifier isn't found, the link to the Outlook Task will be silently removed.

If the link between the Pocket Outlook Task and the corresponding Topic in Pocket Mindmap got lost, but the identifier mentioned above is still in place, you can recreate the link by using Repair Tasks in the Utility functions dialog.
