Edit Hyperlink

Type

To create a hyperlink please select the hyperlink type. Available are:

  • Local Hyperlink
  • Pocket Mindmap File
  • MindManager® File
  • Internet URL
  • Other Document

Text

You can enter a (short) description for the hyperlink. It will be shown in the hyperlink tooltip, underlined blue. If you don't supply a description, an appropriate description depending on the type and destination of the hyperlink will be generated.

Tip: If you have opened this dialog using the context menu of a symbol and only enter the description, a small red square will be displayed on the symbol. If you now tap on the symbol the description will be shown in a tooltip.

Relative Path

Hyperlinks will be created by default as relative links. If you, for example, create a link to a document in the same directory, you can move both files without breaking the link as long as they are in the same directory.

Note: This option is disabled for local hyperlinks.

Path

Enter the path to the document or the URL you want to link to. For files you can also use the selection button ("...") on the right hand side of the text box to select the document using a file selection dialog. Depending on the type of the hyperlink the file type filter of the selection dialog is defined as follows:

Pocket Mindmap File
*.pmap, *.pmapz
MindManager® File
*.mmap
Other Document
All file types that are registered on the device are available for selection.

Note: This field is disabled for local hyperlinks. The file selection dialog is only available for hyperlinks of the type "Pocket Mindmap File", "MindManager® File" or "Other Document".

Topic / Bookmark

This textbox contains the destination Topic. You can select the Topic by tapping on the selection button ("..."). A tree representing the Mindmap is displayed. After selecting the destination Topic it is shown in the text field.

Note: The selection dialog is only available for hyperlinks of the type "Pocket Mindmap File", "MindManager® File" or "Local Hyperlink".
